Frustrated with repeating same destructive habits?

 

Behavior modification is a word most people avoid or are not really sure what it means. Here is a simple definition: Behavior modification is getting consciously aware of the conversations in your head, especially the ones keeping you in destructive patterns, and making adjustments to these conversations so change is easy. The key is asking questions to allow you to see what is ACTUALLY happening when you make destructive decisions. These empowering questions help you take a closer look at the conversations we have in our head so we have understanding and motivation to embrace change. Usually we spend so much time focusing on the action or diet to temporarily guide us and skip the behavior modification step keeping us repeating the same destructive patterns and not ever making a lasting change.

Exhausted? No Time? Feeling like life is stressful?

 

My family struggles with the balance of caring for our vulnerable adult father. Most of the burden falls on me because I am POA. This week I discovered the power of communication and conscious awareness as I dealt with possibly putting my father on hospice, medication mishaps, family tensions, extra appointments and phone calls dealing with the mishaps, and sadly watching how others care for my father as if he is an object rather than a human with no voice trapped in his body. All of this is happening while I am running my business, and taking care of my (3) dependent children (my poor husband gets put on the back burner during weeks like these). I realized how grateful I was to be able to go thru IPEC's program (life coaching certification). I was given an amazing opportunity to take an ELI Assessment (Energy Leadership Index) teaching me how to effectively communicate and understand my frustrations, anger and stress that life so often presents us. What is Conscious Circles?

 

My specialty is behavior modification and this means I help people discover the conversations in their head keeping themselves stuck in destructive patterns. We have many tools to discover which of our 60,000 thoughts per day are holding us back. I want to introduce Conscious Circling as one of those tools. This is a fairly new concept but was created to provide a safe and open space for a small group of individuals to share and be heard.  Most circles form for the most basic reason of feeling supported with no other outcome or intention.  And these are very powerful yet simple formats to support and transform all who seek it. While in the circle, everyone creates intentions and accountability in all aspects of their life and many times the safe space creates opportunity for individuals to get answers by diving deeper into there understanding between conscious circling sessions.
