The new normal for many people is trying to figure out how to work from home with kids. It doesn't matter the age of your children, all ages presents it's challenges. I have a 15 year old at home and he definitely believes he knows more than me and he doesn't need any structure. The parents with first through fifth graders at home are struggling with completely different issues. As I talk to my clients, I hear frustration from ages 2 to 21!
Working from home already has its unique challenges like: HOW DO WE GET ALL OUR WORK DONE WITH ONLY A COMPUTER? We are finding out some things are not available without in person contact. Also video meetings have their own frustrations like connection issues, interruptions, and not being able to read body language. Yes there are perks working from home but I am definitely seeing there are frustrations.

So many us have been affected by the Covid-19. There are many reasons why fear sets in: the possibility of the vulnerable loved ones getting sick like: children, elderly or those with weakened immune system, who will be quarantined and if so, for how long, how will this affect the economy or my pocket book, how will this impact us globally. Yes no one wants to get sick but the illness is not what will affect us the most this year, its the financial stress this will put on everyone. Most people will recover but the hit this will have on the entire world is hard to wrap our brains around. If you have read any of my post you will know I talk about the 60,000 thoughts we have each day. Most of the those thoughts we do not speak. This means we have ALOT of private conversations in our head influencing how we feel about what's happening to us and directly affecting what we do. This is the key to making a lasting change in ANY area of our lives. Our mind has POWER! Laughter is the best medicine!
Last week was a rough week as my father in law went into the hospital with brain injury and is in serious condition. I went over to a friends house Saturday eve and I laughed until my face and stomach hurt. I didn't want to go because I was exhausted but I did and it was well worth the energy it took to get out the door.
When was the last time you sat down and uncontrollably laughed? We all need this medicine for many reasons and below I have listed a few but I want to relate laughter to getting you unstuck! We have all experienced times where we felt stuck in an area of our life. The stuck feeling usually can make us feel stressed.

How Do We Lose The Weight Forever?
This statistic is alarming. Most of us at some point in our life have been on a mission to lose weight or become healthier in our choices so we have more energy, have a world wide health scare or have some event where we want to look our best. The facts are 80% of people who lose at least 10% of their body weight gain the weight back if not more. What is the missing link in this? I believe most people do not consider the power of our thoughts keeping us stuck in destructive patterns with our health. This essential piece of the puzzle is important because it helps you understand why you are choosing the fast food instead of the fruits and veggies or sitting on the couch instead of exercising.
